What 𗝃 means

The dictionary’s gloss is “a place name.” Its entry gives the reading in Latin transcription as lã.

The Western Xia kingdom commissioned Tangut writing in 1036 for government, Buddhist texts, and Tangut identity. Tangut works also translated Chinese texts. Forms draw on neighboring Khitan and Chinese writing, but Tangut is a separate script.

Tangut writing continued into 1502, long after the kingdom fell.

Historical and specialist; it belongs in Tangut texts or typography.

Its numbered label is an identifier, not a translation.

Why does 𗝃 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
