What 𗝧 means
Chinese 篥 is the gloss: bamboo or an old reed pipe.
A Tangut lexicon pairs 𗝧 with 篥 and reconstructs its reading as gu, roughly a hard g followed by “oo.” Chinese dictionaries give 篥 both senses, including in 觱篥, an old reed pipe; context decides the best English gloss.
Is 𗝧 a Chinese character?
No; it belongs to a separate script.
Tangut was made to write its own language for the Western Xia state around 1036. Its forms drew on Chinese writing, but it is a distinct script. After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued especially in Buddhist texts; documented use reaches 1502.
