What 𗞝 means
Its documented gloss is “wilderness.” A 2015 survey of Tangut Buddhist texts records that meaning.
Li Yuanhao introduced Tangut writing in 1036 to build the Western Xia state and create a collection of Buddhist scriptures in Tangut. The script drew on Chinese and neighboring Khitan writing yet remained distinct. A Khara-Khoto manuscript may date to the 12th or early 13th century; Tangut texts included translated classics, Buddhist works, military writing, and literature.
It belongs to historical Tangut writing or discussion.
