What 𗟖 means
It is a Tangut character, not a translated word.
Unicode builds the label “177D6” from the code point; it identifies an inventory entry but gives no pronunciation or meaning. Interpret 𗟖 in surrounding Tangut text or consult a reference to the script.
The Tangut script was established around 1036 under the Western Xia state’s first emperor to write the Tangut language. It served official, private, and religious texts. Tangut continued after the Western Xia state fell, through the Yuan and Ming periods, and became obsolete by the end of the Ming period.
Why does 𗟖 appear blank?
A Tangut font displays it; a Tangut-aware input method enters it.
Some Tangut web input methods show candidate characters. In Tangut IME Online, Enter selects the first candidate when the list is open.
If another app lacks a Tangut font, it may show an empty box. Tangut fonts can draw the same encoded character in different styles; the appearance changes, not the character.
Use 𗟖 within Tangut text or for script and font testing; on its own, it needs a Tangut context.
Alone, it may look like a missing glyph or an unexplained script.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗟖 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

𗟖\177D6Why is 𗟖 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
Codes and encoding1 code points
