What 𗟥 means
In Tangut, 𗟥 means “to reduce.” That is the dictionary gloss for a Tangut word, not a ready-made instruction in English.
The Tangut script was developed around 1036 to write the official language of Western Xia. It drew on Chinese writing and the Khitan script, another regional writing system. Buddhist and legal texts preserve it. Tangut remained in use under the Yuan and Ming dynasties before becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
Historical writing; outside a Tangut text, its meaning is opaque without a gloss.
By itself, it gives no reliable clue to the sender’s intention.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗟥 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
