What 𗢍 means
Western Xia records gloss 𗢍 as “brother”; “maternal uncle” is another reading. Women used it for their brothers.
Tangut is a separate script for the Tangut language of northwestern China, created around 1036; its square forms resemble Chinese writing. It served government, household records, Buddhist scripture, Confucian works, military writing, and literature. 𗢍 appears in 11th–13th-century household records.
What does 𗏿𗢍 mean?
It is a fixed phrase for auspicious signs and good fortune. A Western Xia register glosses it as “treasure of auspicious sign” and records it in a girl's name.
Historical, context-bound.
Good fortune belongs to 𗏿𗢍, not 𗢍 alone.
