What 𗢳 means
It means “Buddha” in Tangut.
𗢳 is a logograph: one written character that stands for a word. Tangut was the language of the medieval Western Xia state; this character names Buddha.
The Tangut script was created in 1036 under Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao to support the state and a Buddhist canon. It later carried Chinese classics, encyclopedias, military works, law, and literature. Its forms drew on Chinese character-making and neighboring Khitan scripts, but it was designed to write Tangut. The latest known Tangut inscription is dated 1502.
Someone sent me 𗢳 — what does it mean?
Treat it as a Tangut-text reference until you have context.
In a Tangut Buddhist passage, it names Buddha. If someone sends it alone in casual chat, the glyph does not establish whether they intend a blessing, a quotation, or something else; ask what it refers to before assigning a tone.
Historical and scholarly; outside Tangut-text context, a short gloss helps readers place it.
Do not infer blessing or approval from the glyph alone.
