What 𗥹 means
It has a reconstructed reading, not a settled English gloss.
A scholarly transcription for 𗥹 is lo² (or lo2 without the superscript). It records a reconstructed historical pronunciation, not a modern English word. In an old passage, the surrounding Tangut word or sentence carries the meaning; the outline alone does not reveal its translation.
When and why was Tangut writing used?
It served Western Xia government and Buddhist writing.
Commissioned in 1036 for the Western Xia (Xixia) state and Buddhist texts, Tangut is a distinct script. Its design drew on Chinese character principles and the earlier Khitan script, another writing system. The earliest transmitted Tangut document is an official record dated 1072. Writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227; an inscription from 1502 is a late attestation.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗥹 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
