What 𗥺 means
Li Fanwen’s dictionary indexes it under “cause.”
Tangut writing records the Tangut language. Its characters can resemble Chinese characters in outline, but they belong to a different writing system. The Western Xia kingdom created the script around 1036 for administration, cultural writing, and Buddhist translations. It remained in use after the kingdom fell and was obsolete by the end of the Ming period.
A character from historical Tangut writing; its dictionary gloss needs that language’s context.
Without Tangut context, a recipient may see an unexplained glyph.

1Why does 𗥺 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
