What 𗦖 means

𗦖 means “palace” in Tangut. A law-code fragment from the Western Xia state, associated with 1149–1169, puts it in a place-name translated as “Mobile Palace.” This attests the gloss by then, not the character’s first appearance.

Tangut Buddhist and other texts survived after the Western Xia state fell in 1227. In the same place-name entry, 𘛂 means “to travel,” supplying the travel sense in “Mobile Palace.”

Historical and specialist; its useful setting is Tangut writing or scholarship.
