What 𗧋 means
It means “respect” in Tangut. Tangut was the language of the Western Xia, whose script was created in 1036 for official writing, Buddhist books, and a distinct written identity.
Manuscripts found at Khara-khoto, a ruined city, show the script in use in the 12th or early 13th century. Surviving texts include Buddhist works and secular translations from Chinese. Tangut is a distinct script, despite its square, Chinese-like forms.
