What 𗧪 means

The code label is not a translation. A Tangut dictionary or surrounding line gives the character’s reading and meaning.

Created in 1036 by Western Xia’s first emperor, Li Yuanhao, Tangut writing supported state-building, Buddhist translations, and Chinese secular texts. Its forms drew on Chinese writing but did not descend from it; nearby Khitan scripts offered another model. Use continued after Western Xia fell and the script became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
