What 𗮃 means
It means an arrow that whistles in flight.
Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut dictionary glosses it as “whistling arrow.” The Shiji, a Chinese history by historian Sima Qian, is commonly cited for an early account (109–91 BC): Xiongnu horsemen—a steppe people north of China—use such arrows to signal an attack.
The Tangut script was commissioned in 1036 for the Tangut language of Western Xia (Xixia), a Tangut-led state. It served administration and Buddhist translations. Its character-making drew on Chinese models; Khitan scripts were an earlier regional precedent, appearing before 1036. In related archery traditions, whistling arrows also served hunting, ritual, and sport.
Historical in tone; apt in discussion of Tangut writing or signaling arrows.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗮃 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
