What 𗮬 means
The Western Xia court promulgated Tangut writing in 1036 for government, Buddhist texts, and cultural distinction from Song China. Its design drew on Chinese visual principles and the neighboring Khitan script, but it was not derived from Chinese characters.
Tangut also carried Confucian, military, and literary works. It remained in use until the end of the Ming dynasty, then was forgotten during the Qing. A bilingual inscription carved in stone was identified in 1804; manuscripts found at Khara-Khoto in 1908 renewed scholarly study.
Historical and scholarly; use it in the context of Tangut texts.
Why does 𗮬 show as a box? A font or app without Tangut support may show a box; the character itself is unchanged.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗮬 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
