What 𗯯 means
A Tangut dictionary gives it the sense “clumsy.”
Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut–Chinese dictionary, which pairs Tangut entries with Chinese meanings, lists it as entry 5588. A second index to Clauson’s Tangut reference dictionary records the glyph as L5588.
Tangut writing took shape shortly before Western Xia (Xixia) was founded in 1038. The state used it for administration, law, and Buddhist translation and printing; texts survive into the 16th century. Chinese and Khitan writing influenced the script, but that does not prove 𗯯 itself was borrowed.
Historical and scholarly, tied to Tangut-language material.
If it arrives alone, do not assume someone is calling a person clumsy; without Tangut context, the sender’s intent is unclear.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗯯 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
