What 𗰜 means
This glyph belongs to the Tangut script. Tangut writing, also called the Xixia script, was used for the now-extinct Tangut language. Its signs can resemble Chinese characters, but Tangut and Chinese are different writing systems; knowing how to read one does not let you read the other.
The Western Xia state sponsored the script for official and cultural work and to express a distinct state identity. It was widely used in 1036–1502. A surviving title for a Buddhist work on monastic discipline begins with 𗰜. After the Western Xia period, surviving Tangut texts served as historical evidence. Khitan and Jurchen scripts belong to the broader history of state writing projects.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗰜 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
