What 𗲬 means
It is glossed as “to sink” in Tangut.
Li Fanwen’s English dictionary index links the character’s LFW 1471 entry to that gloss.
The date belongs to the script, not this individual character: Tangut writing was created around 1036 for the Tangut language and used in official, private, and religious texts. After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued under Yuan and Ming rule before becoming obsolete.
Someone sent 𗲬 to me—what does it mean?
Treat it as a character sample until you have context.
𗲬 has a historical Tangut dictionary meaning, but a lone send gives little conversational context. Ask what word or source the sender means before reading it as a literal statement about sinking.
Historical-script register: scholarly, archival, or typographic.
A blank box points to missing Tangut font coverage, not a different character.

Questions people ask
2Is 𗲬 Chinese or Tangut?
Tangut. It is a character in a separate script made for the Tangut language, not a Chinese character.
Why is its Unicode name just a number?
Unicode generates Tangut character names from their code values; Tangut dictionaries supply word glosses. The number-like name identifies the character, while “to sink” is its dictionary meaning.
