What 𗲿 means
Its reading depends on Tangut context. Western Xia created Tangut writing around 1036–1037 for official records and state identity. An early surviving example is an official Guazhou document dated 1072.
After the state fell in 1227, Tangut continued in Buddhist books, printed works, and inscriptions. A Tangut preface says its script looks unlike Chinese but shares an origin; proposed Khitan influence is debated.
On its own, 𗲿 reads as Tangut text.
When 𗲿 shows as a box, the font lacks Tangut support; legacy text may need conversion to Unicode.
