What 𗴕 means
It is recorded with the Tangut meaning “respect.”
Two Tangut dictionaries, Homophones and Sea of Writing, record the character; both are reference works for Tangut words.
The Western Xia state commissioned Tangut around 1036, and the earliest known dated Tangut writing is around 1070/1071. The script served schools, government records, inscriptions, books, and Buddhist translations. It remained in use under later dynasties after Western Xia fell, before becoming obsolete. As of 2026, this specific character has no established everyday chat meaning.
Why does 𗴕 show as a box?
A font without Tangut coverage usually causes the box.
A Tangut-capable font can draw it; without one, an app may show a missing-glyph box or replacement mark. Fonts can also draw the same strokes differently.
Historical and scholarly in tone.
Tangut is a separate script from Chinese; a similar square shape does not make 𗴕 a Chinese character.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
