What 𗵥 means
A Tangut dictionary translates it as “ghost.”
Is 𗵥 a Chinese character?
No. It belongs to the Tangut script.
Tangut is a distinct script for writing the Tangut language, shaped by Chinese writing. It appears in Western Xia records and Buddhist or classical translations.
Western Xia commissioned the script for state use around 1036. The earliest surviving Tangut document is an official record dated 1072. Writing continued after the state fell in 1227; a Tangut inscription is dated 1502. These dates track the script, not this character’s first use.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗵥 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
