What 𗶶 means
It means binding, tightening, or drawing something taut.
A Tangut–Chinese dictionary lists 𗶶 as L4496, glossed in Chinese as 繃 (“bind” or “draw tight”). The script was created around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor to write the Tangut language. It outlasted Western Xia in official, private, and Buddhist texts through the Yuan and Ming periods; it became obsolete by the Ming’s end and was rediscovered in the late 19th century.
