What 𗶹 means
A Tangut verb for “go” or movement toward a destination. It marks motion toward somewhere away from the speaker’s viewpoint, closer to “go there” than “come here.”
The script was commissioned around 1036 under the first Western Xia emperor for state-building. Scholars also connect its creation with plans for a Tangut Buddhist canon, a collection of Buddhist scriptures. It later carried official, religious, and secular texts under the Yuan and Ming dynasties before falling out of use. The verb’s motion meaning stays the same in the grammatical account; the script’s setting changed from living writing to an object of historical study.
What does 𗶹 mean in a message?
Usually Tangut text or a font test. If the message is about Tangut language, history, or fonts, read it in that context. Without such a clue, the glyph alone does not establish a conversational meaning.
Historical and scholarly; outside Tangut context, its meaning needs explanation.

1Why does 𗶹 show as a box?
It is a font issue: a browser or application without Tangut font coverage can show a fallback box. The character remains 𗶹; a Tangut font is needed for its shape to appear.
