What 𗿃 means
It is a Tangut character; its Unicode label is not a translation.
Unicode derives Tangut labels from a character's code position; this one names the entry, not its word. Because 𗿃 belongs to Tangut writing, its reading and meaning depend on the language and surrounding text.
Why was the Tangut script created?
The Tangut script was created for the Western Xia state under its first emperor around 1036. Historical accounts connect the work to emperor Li Yuanhao and court official Yeli Renrong. The earliest surviving Tangut document is an official message sent to a military official at Guazhou in 1072.
The state taught Tangut, used it for records, translated Chinese works into Tangut, and used it alongside Chinese writing. Its square forms developed in an environment shaped by Chinese characters; scholars also compare Tangut with the earlier Khitan script. That comparison gives historical context: Tangut is a separate writing system. Tangut writing persisted during the Yuan and Ming dynasties and became obsolete by the end of the Ming.
Why does 𗿃 show as a box?
A Tangut-capable font must be active. A blank box means the font or rendering system lacks Tangut coverage. Fonts may draw historical source forms differently while Unicode encodes non-contrastive variants as one character.
Historical and specialist; use it for Tangut-language text or script study.
Is 𗿃 Chinese? No: it is Tangut, a separate script whose square forms developed in a Chinese-character environment.

1Why does 𗿃 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
