What 𘁄 means
It is glossed as “ox.”
Emperor Li Yuanhao ordered Tangut writing created in 1036 for Western Xia state-building and Buddhist translation. Its design drew visual and structural ideas from Chinese writing; the Tangut rulers also followed neighboring Khitan states, which had created scripts a century earlier. A Tangut manuscript translating a Chinese text, found in the ruins of Khara-Khoto, probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century.
Historical and scholarly; clearest in Tangut texts and dictionaries.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
