What 𘆎 means
Its gloss is “measurement.” Li Fanwen’s English Tangut dictionary index maps 𘆎 to entry 0844. It is a historical word, not a unit mark.
Tangut writing was created in 1036 to support Western Xia rule and Buddhist translation. The earliest surviving transmitted Tangut document dates to 1072. Texts include Buddhist works, Chinese translations, law and literature; an inscription attests use in 1502. Its design drew on Chinese and Khitan writing traditions.
A box means the font lacks Tangut coverage; the character’s identity is unchanged.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘆎 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
