What 𘆏 means
𘆏 is a Tangut character with a dictionary gloss.
Li Fanwen’s Tangut–Chinese index, entry 1514, pairs it with Chinese 著 and gives the reconstructed Tangut reading ljɨ̱. 著 is a dictionary gloss, not a complete translation of the character in context.
The Western Xia court commissioned the Tangut script in 1036 for Buddhist translation and state identity. It drew on Chinese writing principles and the earlier Khitan script, but 𘆏 is Tangut, not Chinese. The script also appears in legal texts and translations. A Khara-Khoto manuscript, probably from the 12th or early 13th century, shows later translated use.
