What 𘆙 means
The Unicode label identifies the glyph; it does not translate it.
𘆙 belongs to Tangut, the historic script used for the Tangut language in the Western Xia realm. Its word and pronunciation have to be identified from Tangut dictionaries and surrounding text; the character label alone cannot provide them.
The script was devised in 1036 under Tangut ruler Li Yuanhao as part of state-building and a separate political identity from Song China. One major use was a Buddhist canon, a collection of Buddhist scriptures. Tangut writing took inspiration from Chinese writing without descending from it, and followed script-making by neighboring Khitan rulers. Manuscripts from Khara-khoto, a ruined city in present-day Inner Mongolia, include Buddhist works and translations of Chinese classics, encyclopedias, military texts, and literature. A representative manuscript dates to the 12th or early 13th century.
How do I type 𘆙?
Use Unicode code-point input if your editor offers it.
Why is 𘆙 a box?
The selected font may not have a Tangut glyph for it.
When the selected font lacks Tangut coverage, the app may show a box or another missing-glyph mark; the character itself is still encoded. Tangut-capable fonts can draw source-specific forms differently, so a shape difference alone does not mean the underlying character changed.
Technical and archival; outside Tangut study, it is hard to interpret without a dictionary.
A box can mean the font lacks Tangut coverage, not that the character changed.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘆙 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
