What 𘇜 means
The index gives a sound, not an English translation.
Li Fanwen’s Tangut–Chinese dictionary index lists dʑiă as the reconstructed pronunciation for 𘇜. That estimates its historical sound; it does not translate the Tangut word the character represented.
The writing outlasted the kingdom
Around 1036, Western Xia (Xixia) established the Tangut script for records and Buddhist translations. It followed Chinese conventions and Khitan precedent but remained a distinct script.
The earliest surviving Tangut document known is an administrative letter dated 1072. Writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227; a dated inscription from 1502 shows its long afterlife.
Older Tangut manuscripts vary in glyph shape. Unicode treats variants as one character unless a dictionary lists them separately; the font supplies the on-screen drawing.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘇜 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
