What 𘈶 means
It means “widow” in Tangut.
Tangut was the language of Xixia (Western Xia), a state in northwestern China. Western Xia commissioned Tangut script in the 11th century and made Tangut its official language in 1036, using it for government records and translations of Buddhist and Chinese texts. Scholars transcribe this word’s reconstructed reading as rjɨr in academic Latin-letter notation.
Western Xia fell in 1227, but Tangut writing continued in later texts. Manuscripts from Khara-Khoto, found in the early 20th century, helped scholars recover knowledge of the script.
Why does 𘈶 show as a box?
Your font lacks Tangut glyph coverage.
Tangut writing can resemble Chinese, but it records another language. 𘈶 is a Tangut word, not a Chinese character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘈶 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
