What 𘉶 means
Its word meaning depends on a Tangut reading and sentence context. The numbered Unicode label identifies the character; it does not translate it. A Tangut dictionary and the surrounding text help identify the word it represents.
The script was developed for the Western Xia, a Tangut kingdom in what is now northwestern China, around 1036, for government and cultural writing. Accounts differ over who created it. It remained in use through the Yuan and Ming dynasties in China before falling out of use.
Why does 𘉶 look wrong?
A font without Tangut coverage can display a box.
Before the Tangut script was encoded in Unicode, some fonts assigned its glyphs to character numbers already used for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean text. An incompatible font mapping could display another glyph instead.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘉶 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
