What 𖿠 means
It means: write the preceding Tangut character again.
That is why it is called a Tangut repetition mark: it replaces a second written occurrence. In a cursive example, 𘟪 means “iron”; 𖿠 after it repeats that character.
Tangut was the writing system of the medieval Western Xia state and was used for religious and literary texts. This mark is written shorthand within that script.
What does 𖿠 mean if someone sends it?
Usually, a reference to Tangut writing.
Without a Tangut text around it, the sender’s intended point is unclear; the mark itself gives no settled chat tone.
Historical and specialist; it fits Tangut texts, manuscript transcription, or discussion of the script.
A blank box means the font lacks Tangut coverage; it is not a different mark.
Drift: The standardized name replaced the earlier working name “Tangut Repetition Mark” with “Tangut Iteration Mark” in 2016, aligning it with ISO/IEC 10646.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𖿠 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
