Tangut character for “avoid”

4758/6136

𘊕 is a Tangut character glossed as “avoid” in Li Fanwen’s Tangut–Chinese dictionary; the best translation still depends on context. Tangut writing was created under the Western Xia (Xixia) state around 1036 to write the Tangut language, and appears in Buddhist, legal, scholarly, and literary works. Surviving examples include an official document from 1072; the latest known Tangut inscription is dated 1502.

What 𘊕 means

No. 𘊕 belongs to the Tangut script.

Tangut and Chinese are separate writing systems, though Tangut signs can resemble Chinese characters. That visual resemblance does not make 𘊕 a Chinese character.

Why does 𘊕 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
