tangut ideograph-182d5

Tangut pronoun for “he”

𘋕 means “he” in Tangut, the language of the Western Xia state. It is a written character in a historical script, so its appearance comes from your font. A Tangut Buddhist book was printed under the Mongol Yuan dynasty in 1247, two decades after Western Xia fell.

What 𘋕 means

No. It belongs to Tangut, a separate script for another language.

Western Xia’s ruler ordered Tangut writing around 1036 for official records and a distinct political identity. The script borrowed visual and character-building ideas from Chinese writing. The neighboring Khitan people had created their own scripts earlier, and Tangut rulers followed that regional example. A 1072 official document is the earliest surviving Tangut text.

Why does 𘋕 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
