𘋛 is a Tangut character glossed “benefit,” not an emoji. It belongs to a historical script used for the Tangut language under Western Xia. A box usually means the font lacks Tangut coverage.

What 𘋛 means

Its dictionary gloss is “benefit.”

Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut-Chinese dictionary lists 𘋛 as entry 5227. “Benefit” is its gloss; the surrounding text gives context.

Why was Tangut writing created?

To write Tangut and serve the Western Xia state.

The Tangut script was created in 1036 for Western Xia state-building. It served government records and Buddhist texts; its earliest transmitted document dates to 1072. Its character-building drew on Chinese writing; nearby Khitan scripts were also models.

Tangut writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227; a known inscription dates to 1502.

Why does 𘋛 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
