What 𘌣 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “to run quickly.”
Unicode builds its name from the assigned number, so the name identifies the character rather than translating it.
Is 𘌣 Chinese?
No: 𘌣 belongs to Tangut writing.
The script became official under Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao in 1036; historical accounts differ over its original designer. It helped mark Tangut state identity and carried government records, Buddhist translations, laws, and secular books.
Tangut writing took structural cues from Chinese writing and followed the earlier example of neighboring Khitan scripts, but it recorded a distinct language. After Western Xia fell in 1227, people continued writing Tangut under Yuan and Ming rule; the latest dated records include an inscription from 1502.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘌣 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
