What 𘍵 means
Enter U18375 through an editor’s Unicode input.
Because U18375 is above UFFFF, the input method must accept code points in that range.
What does 𘍵 mean?
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “to realize.”
The Tangut script was created under Western Xia’s first emperor around 1036 to write the Tangut language. Western Xia was a state in what is now northwestern China. Tangut appears in official, private, and religious texts, including Buddhist books, sutras, inscriptions, and manuscripts; it continued in use during the Yuan and Ming dynasties after the state fell.
Tangut strokes may resemble Chinese characters, but Tangut is a separate script. The number in its Unicode name identifies the character; it does not give its Tangut reading or meaning.
Historical and scholarly; read “to realize” as a dictionary gloss, not a pronunciation.
Tangut strokes may resemble Chinese characters, but 𘍵 belongs to a separate script.
