What 𘍺 means
It means “dawn” in Tangut.
The number in the Unicode name is an identifier, not a gloss. A left-side sound component points to pronunciation, while a right-side meaning component links to “morning.”
Why was Tangut writing created?
Western Xia promulgated Tangut writing in 1036 for state-building and Buddhist canon work, alongside official records and translated books. After 1227, Tangut writing continued into Yuan and Ming use.
It was inspired by Chinese writing, but it was not derived from Chinese characters.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘍺 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
