What 𘑗 means
It means “hill” or “mountain” in Tangut.
A Buddhist manuscript glosses it with 山, the Chinese character for “mountain.” In two recorded place names it supplies “mountain.”
The Tangut script was created in 1036 for Western Xia government and Buddhist translation. It remained in use after the kingdom fell; an early surviving record is a bilingual stone inscription dated 1094.

A Tangut font may show a box if it lacks glyph coverage; the character is still valid.

1Why does 𘑗 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
