What 𘑸 means
It means “dry” or “withered” in Tangut. A 12th-century Tangut dictionary called the Sea of Characters records it at entry 1:91.241; its scholarly Latin transcription is rorn.
Tangut writing was commissioned in 1036 for the Tangut language of Western Xia, a Tangut-led state in northwestern China, and served official writing and Buddhist translations. It remained in use after the state fell in 1227; the latest known Tangut inscriptions are dated 1502. Tangut characters can resemble Chinese writing, but they belong to a separate script for another language.
A specialist historical-script character suited to discussing or quoting Tangut texts.
Its Chinese-like shape belongs to a separate script; it is not Chinese writing.
