What 𘓑 means
Its Tangut dictionary gloss is “beautiful.” A Tangut dictionary by Li Fanwen gives this exact character that gloss; the older Sea of Writing dictionary also lists it as entry 32.162.
Around 1036, the Western Xia state commissioned the script to write Tangut, its official language, and translate Buddhist scriptures and Chinese works. Its design drew on Chinese writing methods but served a distinct language, studied through surviving texts.
Historical and scholarly; using it as a compliment depends on the reader knowing Tangut.
If 𘓑 appears as a box, the font may lack Tangut coverage.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘓑 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
