What 𘓚 means
A Tangut-English dictionary glosses 𘓚 as “gadfly.”
The English index to Li Fanwen’s Tangut dictionary gives that gloss. The Sea of Writing, a Tangut reference work, also lists it under a rhyme entry, a section that groups entries by sound.
The script was created around 1036 under the first emperor of Western Xia, a Tangut-led state in northwestern China. It helped distinguish Tangut culture and politics from Song China. It served official, private, and religious writing, and remained in use through the Yuan and Ming periods after Western Xia fell.
Historical and academic; not a conversational sign.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘓚 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
