A Tangut marker for time or cause.
It follows a phrase, marking what comes later (“after/then”) or its cause (“because of”).
Tangut writing developed under Western Xia around 1036 for official, legal, and Buddhist texts. It continued through the Yuan and Ming periods, then fell out of use; the latest known Tangut inscription dates to 1502.
A specialist grammatical character in historical Tangut writing.
Tangut writing drew influence from Chinese and Khitan, but 𘔼 is a Tangut grammatical marker, not a Chinese character.
