What 𘔽 means
Its dictionary gloss is “fair” or “equitable.” The entry is indexed as L3125 in a Tangut dictionary.
Is 𘔽 Chinese writing?
No; it is Tangut, in a script influenced by Chinese writing.
The Western Xia court commissioned the Tangut script around 1036, after its break from Song China, to write the Tangut language. It served laws, official records, translations, and Buddhist books. Tangut writing is attested from the mid-11th century and continued after Western Xia fell; the latest known inscription is from 1502. Its forms are writing signs, not picture clues.
A lone 𘔽 reads as a word from a historical script; context supplies any other intent.
A blank or replacement box points to missing Tangut font support, not a different character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘔽 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
