What 𘕑 means

To cover. Li Fanwen’s 2008 dictionary indexes 𘕑 as L5820 with that English gloss. It is a word from Tangut, an extinct language.

Tangut writing was created under the first Western Xia emperor around 1036 for official and cultural use. The script also appears in Buddhist texts during the Yuan and Ming periods.

Historical and scholarly, not a character for ordinary conversation.

Tangut is a separate script from Chinese; 𘕑 is not a Chinese-character substitute.

Why does 𘕑 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
