What 𘗸 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “skirt.”
Tangut is a historical language written in the square Tangut script. Li Fanwen’s 2008 English index maps dictionary entry 0713 to that gloss; 0713 is a catalog number, not a way to pronounce or enter the character.
Another Tangut character list, Sea of Writing, places it at 13.232. That number locates the entry in the list.
Why was Tangut script created?
It was made for the Tangut state’s language, records, and cultural life.
Western Xia sponsored the script around 1036. The earliest document cited in modern scholarship is an official military record dated 1072. Tangut writing also carried official and private records, as well as Buddhist translations.
After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued. An inscription at Baoding dated 1502 is a late landmark in its use.

Questions people ask
2Why does 𘗸 show as a box?
Font coverage. The character can be intact while the app lacks a Tangut font or usable fallback; select a Tangut-capable font and check that fallback is enabled.
Is 𘗸 Chinese or Tangut?
Tangut. The script has square forms influenced by Chinese writing, but it writes the Tangut language; resemblance does not make the character Chinese.
