What 𘚣 means
It names a spinning column of wind.
Tangut was spoken in what is now northwestern China. In 1036, the Western Xia court ordered the script created to mark a distinct Tangut identity. It carried Buddhist translations and works translated from Chinese. After the state fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties, then became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
Tangut script drew visual and character-building ideas from Chinese, but records a different language. A Unicode study traces one part of 𘚣 to 𘚹; a Tangut–Chinese dictionary glosses both as “whirlwind.”
Read it as written Tangut, not a storm icon.
Don't mistake its Chinese-influenced script for Chinese writing.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘚣 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

𘚣\186A3Why is 𘚣 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
