What 𘛎 means
Nothing on its own: the dictionary label is “a transliteration.”
It spelled a syllable inside longer words and names from other languages; the surrounding text carried the meaning.
As a text character, not emoji artwork, it needs a Tangut-capable font or shows as a placeholder box.
Where does 𘛎 come from?
Invented for an empire in 1036.
It served state-building and Buddhist scripture translation. Its designers followed the example of the earlier Khitan script and borrowed Chinese design principles, but the characters were invented, not copied.
Most surviving Tangut texts were excavated at Khara-Khoto, a ruined city of the empire; one fragment, a Chinese text rendered in Tangut, probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century. The script faded from use after the Mongol conquest.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘛎 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
