What 𘛨 means
Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut-to-Chinese dictionary glosses 𘛨 as “earthen bowl.”
Around 1036 CE, the Western Xia (Xixia) kingdom developed Tangut script for government in the Tangut language and to mark cultural independence. It was a distinct writing system from Chinese characters, though it carried Buddhist translations from Chinese and Tibetan. Khitan and Jurchen states in the region also had their own scripts around the same period. Tangut writing continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties, becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.

Questions people ask
2What does 𘛨 mean in a message?
It identifies a character from Tangut writing, but the glyph alone does not show why the sender used it. Read the surrounding text or ask for context.
Why does 𘛨 show as an empty box?
The font in use may not include Tangut characters, so it cannot draw this one. Choose a font with Tangut support; the character itself is unchanged.

𘛨\186E8Why is 𘛨 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
