What 𘝎 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “dangerous.”
Tangut characters can resemble Chinese characters in their strokes, but Tangut is a separate writing system for a different language.
Created around 1036 for the Western Xia state, Tangut was used in government, schools, books, and Buddhist translations. A surviving manuscript from Khara-Khoto, probably from the 12th or early 13th century, shows the script in use. Tangut writing continued after the Western Xia state fell. The dictionary gloss is a historical word, not a warning aimed at the person reading it.
