What 𘟭 means
It transcribes 雅 in one Tangut title.
A 13th-century cursive Tangut translation of the Classic of Filial Piety, a Chinese text on respect for parents, survives in Saint Petersburg. Li Fanwen lists 𘟭 as dictionary entry 6075, where it transcribes 雅 in Dà Yǎ (大雅), a section of the Book of Songs.
Tangut served Western Xia's language and Chinese-classic translations; it continued in Buddhist texts in the post-1227 period. With Khitan and Jurchen, it belongs to a Chinese-influenced character-writing tradition. A 2025 Unicode note records competing readings of its cursive form, so fonts may draw it differently.
Historical and specialist; give it context outside Tangut texts.
Here it transcribes 雅 in one Tangut title, not as a standalone Chinese character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘟭 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
